Bethany is passionate about helping and supporting others through a compassionate approach that is focused on the whole-person and tailored to each client’s unique needs and strengths.

Bethany Engler received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Equine Studies from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY, and her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Her experience ranges from equine-facilitated mental health with children and adolescents to mission work in Ukraine with children and adults impacted by trauma. She also gained extensive experience working with children and families in a therapeutic school setting. Bethany especially loves working with adopted children and their families. With three adopted siblings in her family, she understands their unique needs and desires to support others and help them thrive. As a Christian, she has the ability to provide faith-based counseling. However, she is not limited to only faith-based counseling and works with clients from all faiths and backgrounds.

Bethany is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Theraplay, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Bethany enjoys working with children and teens as well as adults. She is passionate about helping and supporting others through a compassionate approach that is focused on the whole-person and tailored to each client’s unique needs and strengths. She works with a variety of issues including adoption and attachment issues, parent support, teen issues, neurodivergence, grief, trauma, anxiety disorders, and depression.

Outside of work, Bethany is all about spending time outdoors, whether it’s running marathons, hiking, camping, or backpacking. She loves going on adventures with her family and friends, animals of all kinds, reading, art, and spending time at the farm in her log cabin.
