McKenna understands how intimidating it can be to seek help, and believes in softening the edges of the clinical world—making therapy approachable, human, and even comforting.
McKenna holds an Associate in Arts and a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences, but her true education in mental health began during one of the most challenging times of her life—the COVID-19 pandemic. During that period, she was fortunate to work with a counselor who offered her support, understanding, and a safe space to be herself. The therapist’s ability to meet McKenna where she was and help her navigate her struggles inspired her to pursue a path where she could offer the same to others.
Now, McKenna is passionate about creating a welcoming, down-to-earth space where people feel seen, heard, and supported. She understands how intimidating it can be to seek help, and believes in softening the edges of the clinical world—making therapy approachable, human, and even comforting. If she can be a friendly face when someone is taking that first brave step toward healing, she feels she is doing something meaningful.
McKenna sees her role as holding the door open—inviting others in, helping them feel ready to do the hard work of healing and growth.
Outside of her professional life, McKenna is a musician through and through. She writes music, sings, and plays both guitar and drums in a rock band. She is also a lover of creativity in all its forms—spending time with her kids, caring for her plants, hanging out with her cats, and enjoying life with her husband. Art, fun, and family are at the heart of who McKenna is.
