Counseling Intern

Allison is in her final year of her Master's Degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Asbury. Allison is particularly interested in working with religious trauma and building knowledge on the impact of childhood trauma, sexual trauma, and post-traumatic stress on persons and communities.

Allison has completed her Level 1 of Clinical Foundations in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and is currently working on Level 2. Allison holds a Maternal Mental Health Advocate Micro-credential. She is also currently pursuing certification as an ABCST Sex Therapist and a certification in Religious Trauma Studies.

Allison has vast experiences working with trauma, including volunteering at Refuge for Women, where she taught a DBT & sexual healing group, as well as created a trauma-informed training for volunteers and recovery group leaders. Allison also worked as a Youth Care Associate at  the Kentucky United Methodist Children's Home.

Allison is accepting new clients and believes that therapy is a sacred space and that all persons are worthy of dignity, care, and respect.
