Hilary Miles, M.Ed., LPCA

Therapist

Hilary is passionate about meeting clients where they are and supporting them as they grow into the most expansive version of themselves. Working from a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspective, Hilary builds a strong foundation of trust with her clients. Hilary enjoys working with clients on family-of-origin issues, trauma and PTSD, grief, neurodivergence, healthy communication, life transitions, gender and sexuality, mind-body integration, anxiety, depression, and more.

Hilary has significant experience working with LGBTQIA+ populations in both individual and group therapy and proudly provides gender-affirming, culturally competent care. She also has experience supporting clients managing executive dysfunction as well as those learning to fully embrace their neurodivergence. Hilary believes that every client is unique, so her approach to each client is responsive and personalized.

Hilary is fascinated by the process through which trauma becomes stored in our bodies, and she believes strengthening the connection between our minds and bodies can be a profound part of healing for many clients. As a result, Hilary has completed a certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and she is a practitioner of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an approach that can provide rapid recovery from trauma. Hilary received an M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William & Mary and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College.
