Jessie Dayton, MA, LPCC-S

Therapist, CEO

As a therapist, Jessie has vast experience working with diverse populations and diagnoses. We are all human beings and deal with a wide range of emotions on a regular basis. Jessie sees it as her privilege to allow you a safe place to explore negative emotions, find more effective ways of coping with them, and help reduce their control over your life. Therapy is directed by the client and catered to their needs.

Jessie implements a variety of therapy models; she has advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, which she primarily utilizes for processing traumatic events with clients suffering from PTSD. Jessie also uses aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Jessie’s aim is to provide a comfortable, welcoming therapy environment that is accepting of all. She considers herself to be a laid-back individual, and you will quickly see this transfers over into her therapy style.

Jessie earned her Bachelor's Degree from Samford University (Birmingham, AL) in 2007 and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cincinnati Christian University (Cincinnati, OH) in 2015.

Jessie hails from Baltimore, MD, but has considered Lexington, KY her home for the past 7 years - although she will forever remain a Baltimore Ravens fan! Jessie is the proud (cool) aunt of four awesome kiddos. When she is not running around Mended Counseling, you can catch her spending time with her 90-pound lapdog (Ripken), watching true crime shows/documentaries, working out at her favorite gym (though unenthusiastically), and unsuccessfully keeping plants alive.
